2022 Softball Schedule Released
The Aztecs begin at home for the first time since 2007 and plan three home tournaments.

The 52-game for the 2022 Âé¶¹¹ú²ú softball season has been announced by head coach , highlighted by three home tournaments, including the 31st annual Campbell/Cartier Classic.
The Aztecs, who have won a league-best seven Mountain West titles, are scheduled to play 12 games against teams that made last year's NCAA tournament and five conference champions.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú begins its season at home for the first time since 2007 when it plays host to the Âé¶¹¹ú²ú Season Kickoff from Feb. 10-13. Âé¶¹¹ú²ú opens with Middle Tennessee, followed by games against 2021 NCAA tournament teams University of Illinois Chicago (Horizon League champion) and Stanford, UIC once again followed by Cal Poly.
The Aztecs continue their 11-game homestand to open the season on Feb. 16 against the University of San Diego.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú then plays host to the 31st annual Campbell/Cartier Classic from Feb. 17-20. Âé¶¹¹ú²ú will meet CSU Northridge, Army West Point twice, Southern Utah and California Baptist.
The Aztecs then head to the always competitive Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic from Feb 24-26, which will take place at Big League Dreams Park in the Palm Springs area in Cathedral City, California. Âé¶¹¹ú²ú is slated to play three teams that made the NCAA tournament a year ago, including Northwestern, Washington, and Missouri. Âé¶¹¹ú²ú opens the weekend with games against Cal State Fullerton and UC Davis.
The Aztecs return home to host the San Diego Classic from March 3-6 along with USD and UC San Diego. Âé¶¹¹ú²ú will take on three conference champions and NCAA tournament qualifiers in Brigham Young University, Boston University and Long Beach State along with Cal, Yale and Stony Brook.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú wraps up its regular-season tournament play from March 10-13 at the Torero Classic, hosted by USD. The Aztecs are scheduled for games against the Toreros, Valparaiso and Weber State twice, followed by CSUN.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú kicks off Mountain West play at home against Colorado State on March 19-20 before traveling to Fresno State for a series from March 25-27.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú follows with a home series against Nevada from April 1-3 and then a road trip to UNLV from April 8-10.
Next up for the Aztecs is a weekend home series with Boise State from April 14-16 and its final non-conference game of the season on April 20 at UC San Diego.
Âé¶¹¹ú²ú finishes the MW regular season with a road series at San José State from April 29-May 1, a home series with Utah State from May 6-8 and a road series at New Mexico from May 12-14.
The NCAA Regional kicks off postseason play from May 19-22 at 16 campus sites.
Last year, Âé¶¹¹ú²ú finished with a 28-16 record, their best winning percentage since the 2015 squad went 38-20before falling in the NCAA Los Angeles Regional final to UCLA. It was also the ninth-best record in program history.
